Set Up Week Thus Far...

What a beautiful morning in Harlan! Set up week is off to a great start. Our center needs a LOT of work, so we've been doing a lot of cleaning, but having a good time doing so. We've discovered a room full of tricycles and scooters, so naturally we've been riding them up and down the hallway to get from room to room :) Since we go so much work done early on in the day yesterday, we went to see "Prince of Persia" at the local theatre. A pretty dumb movie, but dumb enough to give us some good laughs!

Today, we already set up our account at the bank, and Adam and I will continue to set up various accounts all day. Jenny and Jess will be out on Initial Home Visits all day. Also, I have to finalize the menu for the first week today! Already met one of the cooks, Alice. She'll be a pleasure to work with.

I'm just loving life in the mountains so far. Although we're busy, it's refreshing and relaxing. I am able to focus on my job at hand and really spend some time seeing God through the beauty around me. This is just what I need at this point in my life. Spending my summer here was the best decision I've ever made.

I do miss everyone at home though! I hope everyone's safe and I'm praying for you all. I have NO cell service at my center, so I can only respond to texts while out and about town. Best mode of communication will probably be facebook or skype! I'd love to see everyone's beautiful face :) God bless!
