End of Week One

First of all, sorry I've done such a horrible job updating my blog. This week has been super busy, and when I get done at night, my choices are either to sleep or update - I will usually choose to sleep.

Well it's Friday of week one, and this week has sure flown by. Our volunteers have been great! I've had a great time hanging our the youth from the churches and talking with all of the adults. It's amazing what all these volunteers can teach you in just one week. I feel completely more comfortable with construction as well as just leading large groups just after this one week. Our staff has received fabulous feedback from the volunteers thus far, so we're feeling pretty good - we can only get better from here! I've included some pictures from this week. The first picture is of the sunset outside our center last night. The second is all of us on "Moderately sip on your Monster while wearing rainbow suspenders" Thursday. The third is a picture of two kids at one of our sites. They're cute, but quite the handful! Last is a picture Jess and I got while on runs. On facebook we tagged it as each other. So cute, right?

Since our volunteers raised $500 this week, we are holding an ASP prom tonight. I have multiple dates, spanning from high energy 15 year old boys to 70 year old men. Pretty pumped to throw down some dance moves.

Tomorrow we're getting up a FIVE AM (oh dear) to start saying goodbye to our volunteer groups. We're also headed to Perry County in the morning to pick up a load of railroad ties for retaining walls. In the evening, most of us are headed to Jonesville, where we were for training, for a small gathering of nearby staffs.

Promise I'll try to find time to continue to update! Love and miss you all and God bless.
